Background:
Kaleb grew up with his aunt, uncle, cousin, sister, and mom. Kaleb's father died when Kaleb was six of overdosing on prescribed medicine for depression and other issues. Heartbroken and missing a reason to live, Kaleb's mother sunk into depression herself. Kaleb's aunt (his mom's sister), took them in. Right after the incident, Kaleb's mother found out she was pregnant with the last remaining memory of her husband. She struggled, but once Kaleb's sister, Ivory, was born, his mom shaped up some to take care of her.
A bit forgotten, Kaleb's best friend was his cousin. And Kaleb's uncle treated him like his own son. Both the boys were happy, until the trio of aunt, uncle, and cousin, went on a vacation to the Bahamas. In a freak crash, the plane exploded in the sea, and all the passengers perished.
Kaleb, his mother, and sister of 8 years were all shattered. His mother withdrew into herself, and lost her job. She wouldn't work and was so depressed all the time that she wasn't able to do much of anything else either. They lost the house, and had to move into an apartment complex. Kaleb had to find work to help pay the rent. His mother managed to drag herself to a job, and they scraped by.
His mom started doing drugs, and the money she was making started going to paying for her new-found addiction. She went out late, came back late, and was drinking and using heavily.
Then, one night she came back beaten to within an inch of death. Kaleb, at 15, tried to keep her alive, but his meager efforts couldn't make her stay, and she died.
Kaleb was sent to a foster home with his 9-year-old sister. She was fostered, and then adopted, leaving Kaleb at the foster home, which is his current place of stay.
Personality:
Passive: This trait is the most outstanding in Kaleb's repertoire of qualities. He is a really laid-back, kind person. He is usually level-headed, and is definitely a lover, not a fighter. He plays mediator with his friends when they get in disputes, and a lot of people at school love him because he is sweet and not a jerk. Sometimes this does cause problems, as he procrastinates on stuff because he would rather be photographing and hanging out with friends. In addition, this makes him have a harder time standing up for himself.
- Intelligent: Leading from Passive, Kaleb is also pretty smart. He cleverly devises ways to make himself and his friends happy. He also has to be clever to stop fight between his friends without joining the fight himself. He is also very good in school; however, he isn't the top student. Sometimes his wittiness and jokes are lost on the ears of those around him who don't understand his jokes. He can sometimes be inadvertently mean with his sarcasm and jokes.
- Dominant: Underneath the many layers of his calm and smart exterior, Kaleb can be a bit superior. He has pretty good leadership skills, and sometimes sees flaws in other peoples' thinking, but doesn't express them for conservation of good feelings towards him. If he is put in a group project, he will sometimes take charge, and can direct people nicely. Unfortunately, Kaleb chooses more often to be laid back and let other people do the work.
- Helpful: Kaleb really just loves to help people out. He likes doing odd jobs and being friendly.

Kaleb is tall, about 6' 2''. He is really slender, after years of malnutrition and neglect. Despite that, his odd jobs and lots of exercise have kept him fit and muscular. He has tan, but not dark, skin. He has longish, medium brown hair with a darker underside. His eyes are green, but leaning on the hazel side because of gold and brown flecks and lines in his irises. They often change color slightly in certain light and when his mood changes.
